This quote appeared in Michele Lessirard's New Moon Journal yesterday, and I just had to pass it on.  It's from Power vs. Force by Dr. David Hawkins:

"Power attracts, whereas force repels. Because power unifies, it has no true enemies, although its manifestations may be opposed by opportunists whose ends it doesn't serve.  Power serves others whereas force is self-serving.

True statesmen serve the people; politicians exploit people to serve their own ambitions.  Statesmen sacrifice themselves to serve others; politicians sacrifice others to serve themselves. 

Power appeals to our higher nature.  Force is limited, whereas power is unlimited."

Freedom

As I read this line earlier today, I felt inspired (or compelled?) to write and share --- What came to mind was the idea that Freedom goes hand-in-hand with the idea of Choice and they both directly relate to the idea of Responsibility --- Personal Responsibility.  And all are factors integral  (or equal) to the idea of Empowerment.

I don't know about any of you, but for me, this week has been "strange," for want of a better word. The best visual I can give you to go along with my feelings, is that of the turbulent ocean or maybe a "storm-crossed sea?"  Granted, this week has seen a Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse and Mercury is still in retrograde --- so I guess one might say that energies definitely have been "stirred up?" 

Something that I read in Michele Lessirard's New Moon Journal this week,  www.newmoonjournal.blogs.com had to do with the importance of paying particular attention at this time, to keeping the balance between our spiritual and physical energies --- being creative and allowing our imaginations to soar while keeping our feet firmly planted on the ground.
